Maria Necita – GiGi – is the General Manager of our global shared services center, looking after more than 700 employees. Having worked in the shared services industry for more than 15 years in several industries prior to this, she’d never had the chance to be involved in the insurance business and saw Crawford as an opportunity to expand her expertise.
“After working with the company for a year, I quickly realized this was “THE” company I wanted to grow old with.”
GiGi says, “I felt I was part of something special.”
That special thing is embodied by our mission to influence lives for the better, and that is one of the things GiGi finds the most fulfilling in her role. She believes that successful people can transform themselves, adapt and even innovate.
Her life took an unexpected turn when she received a stage three breast cancer diagnosis. “Crawford and my Crawford colleagues were those I count as the biggest source of strength and support.” GiGi explains that she was able to conquer the illness, but she didn’t ever feel like she did it alone.
Her success is a result of her dedication and commitment to her team and our customers. From taking on every challenge – even the things she finds difficult – and going the extra mile to not being afraid to reach out to others, GiGi has pushed herself to exceed throughout her career.
Gigi believes that the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little bit of effort you put in.
