Since May 2023, I've been on an exciting journey with Crawford, navigating the Canadian professional landscape after graduating from Mohawk College. My introduction to the insurance world was unexpected—I stumbled upon it at a career fair at Mohawk, and little did I know, it would lead me to a fulfilling career with Crawford.
Joining Crawford's Fast Track program was a leap into the unknown. This program, characterized by on-the-spot training, exposes participants to various areas of Crawford's business. After employees complete three to six rotations, participants like me are strategically placed within the company.
My initial nerves were quickly eased by the supportive team, especially during my first rotation on the third-party team for a large retailer. The initial nervousness transformed into a sense of belonging as my colleague’s encouraged questions and fostered an open dialogue. Weekly meetings and open table discussions became the norm, making me feel not just like an employee but a valued member of a collaborative community.
As the months passed, I found myself deeply engaged in my role, mostly handling property and casualty claims. The Fast Track program offered me a holistic understanding of the industry, and my first rotation with the Walmart team turned into a permanent position. Despite being a newcomer, I felt compelled to continue contributing to the team that had become my professional family.
Fast Track has been more than a career kickstart—it's a transformative experience. To those considering it, especially recent graduates or job seekers interested in the insurance industry, I wholeheartedly recommend the Fast Track program. My journey at Crawford has been nothing short of rewarding, and I'm excited to continue embracing every opportunity for growth in this dynamic field.
