Winter Storm Jayden
Midwest and Eastern United States
Jan 2019
Overview
Record breaking cold, snow and wind across the Midwest and Eastern United State
Dangerously low temperatures are spreading across Midwest and Eastern U.S. bringing with them snow, ice, and wind. Wind chills could drop to -50° in Chicago, Twin Cities and surrounding the Great Lakes and are likely to persist through Thursday. Wind chill advisories and watches have been issued for as far east as Cleveland today, and more will likely be issued over the next few days. As the storm pushes east, widespread snowfall and icy conditions are expected as far south as Georgia and Alabama.
Crawford Catastrophe Services has created an event in its RENOVO adjuster portal, and adjusters are communicating their availability to respond to claims in the Midwest and Northeast. Power outages, downed trees, and limbs, along with car accidents, are likely to result.
