Tropical Storm
Typhoon Jebi
Japan
Sep 2018
Overview
Crawford's team of adjusters mobilize as Typhoon Jebi causes devastation in Japan
Typhoon Jebi is the strongest storm to hit Japan in 25 years and has torn roofs off houses, damaged tankers and tens of thousands of people have been left without power. Tragically, 11 people are confirmed dead and our thoughts with all those affected.
The powerful storm brought strong winds and heavy rain to Japan and at its peak it was briefly a super typhoon, meaning wind speeds exceeded 150mph.
Violent winds ripped away part of the ceiling from Kyoto station and toppled scaffolding on a building in Osaka. Elsewhere, cars were turned on their sides and strewn across roads.
Crawford is contacting all clients that have been impacted by Typhoon Jebi and will be capitalizing on both its resources in the region as well as its global network to mobilize quickly the teams and capabilities necessary to meet the multiple demands of this event.
If you have claims that require our attention or need more information on this event, please contact any of the Crawford team members listed.
