Flood, Wind & Hail
Storm Ali
Scotland
Sep 2018
Storm Ali has brought record-breaking gusts of wind and an amber warning, meaning "be prepared", is in place for parts of the UK. A major incident has been declared in parts of Scotland as emergency services cope with the demand while Northern Ireland has seen record wind speeds.
Storm Ali will be followed by more wet and very windy weather over the next few days, with England and Wales in particular, experiencing strong and potentially hazardous wind gusts across Thursday and Friday.
Along with the high winds, all parts of the UK can expect to see spells of drenching rain leading to localised flooding.
We have adjusters in all areas and we are prepared to take on a large volume of business—no matter the size and scope.
We are regularly monitoring claim intake to ensure adequate resources are in place to handle any increased call and claims volume. Crawford is also able to utilise its WeGoLook® network of 1,000+ UK ‘Lookers®’ to carry out initial inspections. In addition, our managed repair solution, Contractor Connection®, is also able to provide emergency assistance.
