Japan floods
Japan
Jul 2018
Overview
Crawford's global network mobilizes the teams and capabilities necessary to meet demands of this major loss.
Central and southwestern Japan are currently tackling some of the worst flood conditions to affect the region in over 30 years. Intense rainfall during the latter part of last week which occurred in the aftermath of a typhoon have resulted in widespread flooding, rivers bursting their banks and landslides.
While it is reported that the waters are receding, flood warnings remain in place at the current time. Information is becoming available on the scale of the devastation caused which is likely to have had a significant impact on both residential properties and commercial/manufacturing operations in the affected regions.
In the coming days and weeks, Crawford will be in close contact with all clients that have been impacted by the floods and will be capitalizing on both its resources in the region as well as its global network to mobilize quickly the teams and capabilities necessary to meet the multiple demands of this major loss.
