Tropical Storm Elsa makes landfall outside of Tallahassee
Tropical Storm Elsa made landfall along the northern Panhandle today. Winds reached 71 miles per hour at the storm’s peak, but the storm began weakening as it met land. Wind gusts are now hovering around 50 miles per hour. The storm is expected to continue to lose momentum as it travels through Jacksonville, FL and northward along the Eastern Seaboard through the weekend.
