Crawford deploys boots on the ground as Hurricane Matthew makes landfall in the Bahamas
Hurricane Matthew made landfall in the Bahamas as a Category 4 hurricane in October 2016. The storm then hit the southeastern United States as a Category 1 days later. Residents of the Bahamas, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina experienced high winds and record breaking storm surges.
A full deployment was prepared from Crawford’s office in Atlanta, GA as well as an induction center in Tampa, FL. Crawford Catastrophe Services and Global Technical Services deployed adjusters along the southeastern United States and the Bahamas. Martin Taylor, a Crawford international adjuster, commented “In addition to expertise from the United States, we called in a handful of UK and Canadian adjusters to help with the workload."
