Interested in becoming a drone pilot? Anyone interested in flying a drone for profit or commercial use are required to pass a 2 hour FAA test. The Part 107 Test Prep course will go over content for the FAA test.

Day 2: Tuesday, February 26

8am – 12pm | HUD Training Session
Housing and Urban Development plays a critical role after any catastrophic event for months or even years following a major storm. This event is open to adjusters interested in becoming HUD inspectors in order to assist in restoring lives, businesses, and communities.

8am-3pm | Xact Overview (5 HR TX CE)
This course is intended for those who are new to the Xactimate platform of estimating.  It is a brief overview of the 4 step claims process required for claims handling. The course will take the individual through the process of claim inception to conclusion

8am-12pm | CA Earthquake Certification (3 HR TX, FL, GA CE)
The damage an earthquake does to a building is much like wind damage. Wind pushes on a building and the building develops cracks.  Earthquakes push on a building, and the building develops cracks. This training helps an adjuster make sure that all new damage is properly discovered, evaluated, and the consumer gets all the benefits of their insurance policy. This course meets the standards for all states requiring earthquake training for adjusters.

    Day 4: Thursday, February 28 

    8am-5pm | NFIP Workshop (6 HR TX, FL, GA CE)
    This presentation will cover the National Flood Insurance Program organizational structure, adjuster responsibility basic adjustment issues, adjuster certification, dwelling policy, pre-firm buildings, increased the cost of compliance, mitigation measures, and eligibility for ICC claim payment. Attendance of the full course will satisfy the NFIP l re-certification requirement.  4 consecutive years of full-time property loss adjusting experience required for new certification

    8am-5pm | Sketch Overview for Beginners (7 HR TX CE)
    This beginner level course is intended for users new to sketch and gives users the opportunity to practice techniques to increase efficiency with roof diagramming, floor coverings, and graphical estimating.

    Beverly Trice began her career with insurance and claims administration giant Crawford & Company® in 1979. Since then, she has held more jobs than she can count with the company—from the receptionist to billing specialist to the president of Crawford Catastrophe Services.

    Dr. Rick Knabb is The Weather Channel network’s on-air hurricane expert and tropical program manager. Dr. Knabb leads hurricane and tropical storm reporting and provides expert in-depth forecast analyses and updates for the nation’s only 24-hour source of national storm coverage.

    Dr. Knabb is a trusted voice in weather. During his first tenure at The Weather Channel, he led the reporting of significant events including Hurricane Irene in 2011.
